Hi! Here we are, with my the second in my series of aimless prosletyzing! As I said in an earlier note, I'm using this space as a place to ramble on about different aspects of Web Design. Humour me please. I was thinking about the use of Easter Eggs. Usuaully they start out as hidden links to maintainance pages, or things I'm just testing out. Rather than type out the URL each time, I'll place the link on a "non-button" piece of art. Usually I'll end up making an official link to it, frequently I'll forget about it, and let them be. I don't know about you, but I always love it when I stumble onto these pages at other folks sites. Here's a couple, go to the bottom of the first "why" page, and click on the Apocalypse logo. This is an area that will definitely grow, but where to link it from, I haven't decided. Just the mere presence of bits and pieces like this will give a site a bit more personality, IMHO. Websites, like people, grow and change with time. It's always nice to find the electronic equivalent of an old photo album floating around, or a virtual photo sitting on someones desk. Agree, disagree? ANYways, those are my thoughts on the matter. Thanks for listening! Your pal,-doc-20 September 96 See also 8 September 1996. |
